These are the lyrics to "River". I have annotated the lyrics with what will possibly happen in the music video. Each verse has a scene. The lyrics when looked at it detail, each have a special meaning and a sort of teaching. The song itself has a religious view to it and a journey, it explains that to get to the big things in life you need to go through the little and you need to work hard.  You need to take time and believe in yourself.

Leona Lewis - Come Alive

This videos is simple as its the acoustic version plus it tends to go into a love song talking about how she sees when he comes to live. This was an inspiration as Leona Lewis goes into love songs mostly and her videos are mostly calm with some sort of soft colours.






Beyonce - Halo

Beyoncé’s video of Halo is a very simple video this including the makeup and everything. Beyoncé is letting us know in this video that the man is everything to her and that she had walls built up and he didn’t even have to try to put them down. That they have

Adele - Turning tables and One and only

These two songs are very meaningful speaking from the heart, the speak for themselves.   These songs inspired us because Adele speaks about love and things that may have happened to her. She lets you inside a relationship with love and a relationship full of pain that needs to end before anything worse can happen. This inspired us because ‘River’ is about love.

This video is showing a couple in love, taking pictures of each other in a café and in different places, this was one of the ideas that we had for our video to have the couple taking pictures of each other and together to make  it look more romantic yet playful between them.

Trey Songz - Never again

In this video, the scene with Trey Songz at the top of the steps with the camera rotating inspired us. This scene would go well with our music and the concept we have chosen. To achieve the same effect that the music director created, we could re-enact this scene at Trafalgar Square. As there is a scene where Trey Songz takes a picture of the girl in the music video. This also inspired us too. We might recreate this

In the Music video 'river' by Emeli Sande I will be using different locations.

 

 I am  going to use the basketball courts at Turnpike Lane. We plan to do a couple of scenes here.

 Finsbury Park is another possible location as i find the pond very romantic and a good place to take a quiet scene.

 Finsbury park has a beautiful view of a pond that has swans, this is a great chance of getting a romantic view of a couple so we might be using this location.

 

Alexander Park has an amazing view both at sunset and at night. If possible i am looking to take some shots here too


















 


                                          





Winter wonderland is our main location as we plan to set the main scenes here. Winter wonderland has the perfect places to go with someone very close to you or aloved one therefore you are able to spend time with them and cherish what you have due to the little markets and rides and the Magical Ice Kingdom that sets a romantic scene.

This is a stage/platform at Westfield Stratford that caught our attention when we were looking around. we are planning on doing the singing scene here where Cadiesha will be acting as Emeli Sande singing to "River" This is were most of the lip sinking is going to be.

The music video to Emeli Sande 'River' has many meanings and everyone has a different approach to it. My interpretation of the lyrics is that the song is talking about a girl who is in love with a man that is either too shy or too busy trying to find 'the sea' meaning something to get him to be well known and possibly successful. The girl tries to help him find his dream/success so that hopefully after he had gotten his aims he could notice that she was in love with him.

I have look at my performance of last year and have gone through what i know i can do well and what i may need to work on and practice more this year so i have set myself some targets for this year to make sure i get a good grade and do well.

After me and Wendy made the music Wendy went back and decided to make a few changes as she said she tought it should be a bit more scary. On logic pro there are so many ways to make a scary song and she explored these with me on the day we went and made the music. There was a lot i learned that day as i had never heard of logic pro until that day and i learnt to used it and drag and drop the music needed.
This is the final piece that Wendy finished as she added a few more instruments and fixed it up a bit.

Changes to the thriller

As a group, we  decided to make changes to our thriller.


"Before we planned at the start of the thriller that you would view a young girl crying at a grave and then runs home after crying too much. We decided that she is instead crying in her bedroom then she has flashbacks of clips of her dad and herself together and also a graveyard.We felt that going to a graveyard and looking at a gravestone was quite rude and offensive, so adding images of a long shot of a graveyard was more respectful. We also want to add black outs which mean black background of shots will be edited into the footage to create a spooky effect. Whilst this is occurring, a family will be walking around trying to find a room to rent out and coming across the young girls house.


Our proposed plan was that the young girl lived in a Bed and Breakfast hotel, however we decided to change this setting into a house that rents their rooms. We decided to make this change due to the fact that it would be very hard for us to find a house the resembled a Bed and Breakfast. Even if we did, we wouldn't be able to afford the props to convey this concept. Overall, the idea of a Bed and Breakfast was too time consuming and expensive."

those are he changes us as a group decided to make on the thriller as we thought it would be better and much more attractive to the target audience.  The bed and breakfast idea was a very fast decission that we made without thinking it properly so when we came to do it we saw that there were difficulties and things that were notpossible. Overall i think our final idea was the best as it goes well with the target audience and our theme. We worked hard on it and madwe sure we checked everything over and over again.

Day one of Filming

On our first day of filming of the thriller we done all the shots we wanted and had planned to do but there were a few that thought were a bit shaky so we want to re film to make it as perfect as we can. By re filming this wil help us all understand and improve our directing skils much more.

In this shot we see Fabio and Andres walking to the shop to find a room to rent



Here they are pressing the buzzer to get into the house to look at the room and to meet the family.

Here we have the scene where rebecca is opening the door for Ciaran. As you can see Serene is standing behind her watching every move.


This is a close up of Sereneas they are on the table speaking and making sure all the deatils are understood. You can see that she is angry and not in the mood to be sitting there with them .



In this scene Rebecca is asking serene to introduce herself but Serene refuses to say anything as she is angry and looking at Ciaran is making her much more angry as she is just reminded of her father



In this scene Ciaran is looking a bit uncomfortable as Serene keeps on starring at him while they are at the table.

Hee we see Serene walking up the stairs and behind her is ciaran. Rebecca asked her to show him his room so he could leave his things there.

After we filmed Me and Wendy went to Michelles dad's studio o do the music, we done the first cut at the studio but finally Wendy done a final piece where she added more instruments and effects.

Rebecca has an AS Grade C in Drama and there has experience in acting. Rebecca is a mature girl and looks old enough to look after someone so we thought she was great for he roll of the older sister.

Age: 15

Student at St Annes Catholic High School For Girls, Palmers Green, London.

We thought Serene would be perfect for this roll as she is small and her long curly hair makes her look much more innocent than someone with straight hair.

Name Ciaran Savage as 'Fabio'

Age: 16

Student at St Ignatius Sixth Form, Enfield

Ciaran looks mature for his age making him the right person for the roll of Fabio.  He looks like he is able to look after a child like his little brother or maybe even his own child.

Name: Kevin A. as 'Andres'

Age: 10

Student at  St Martin Of Porres

Kevin has a big smile and is a young innocent kid. This is what we are looking for. He also has some acting experience which is a beneficial.

Location Reports

The outside scne will be filmed on Wedy's Road St Mary's Road in Edmonton Green. we will be filiming outised a corner shop on the same road as her house so its uicker and easier to film everything.



This part is where we will have Ciaran and kevin walking down to the corner shop to look at any room available to rent.


This is the corner shop that they will be standing at looking at the rooms to rent and where Ciaran calls the number to speak to Rebecca about the room.  We asked permission to film outside the shop.



This is when Ciaran makes his way to the house and presses the buzzer to the house where he will rent a room.


Ciaran will be knowcking on the door once he has walked up the stairs .



These two pictures will be of Ciaran talking with Rebecca and Serene getting to know what he will be renting and the people that live there.






This will be the scene where he walks upstairs with Serene to put his bags down and see what room will be his.



This would be the scene of Serene opening the door to the room to show him and let him in.

This is the animatic story board that we have made with the senes we have thought of making. Things may change depending on how we get a long.

Improved film treatment

 

A young girl called Angelica has been constantly tormented by the death of her father. As her mother was always at work Angelica and her sister grew a close connection between each other and father. Their mother works very long hours and with the lack of a good income Angelica and Amelia are left alone to fend for themselves most of the time. Angelica and Amelia are trying to come to terms with their loss and are left alone to greet the new costumers that will be renting out the vacant room in their family home to help bring in some income.

With Angelica being the youngest she is finding it the hardest to cope with it all. Angelica and her sister reflect by looking at pictures of their father but one day it all gets the better of her and Amelia and she becomes very drawn into herself, barley communicating with anyone. After recently posting a vacancy for a room in a shop window the girls get a call from a man called Fabio who has a 7 year old son called Andres and want to move in as soon as possible.

Amelia arranges for the Fabio and Andres to come a view the room at midday and they both wait for their arrival. As midday is approaching the doorbell rings for the boys to view the room. They all sit down to discuss prices and the contract for being a tenant. As Amelia and Angelica finalise the first payment, Amelia offers to get Andres a drink while Angelica shows Fabio to his room. A sudden slam of a door is heard upstairs and a very loud scream. After 5 minutes Angelica runs down the stairs with her hands covered in blood, a smile emerges upon her face as laughing is heard from the downstairs room where Amelia cradles Andres.
